Our journey with Sans Strings Studio started with an unexpected spark at Nouns Fest. When Sebastien Deguy began exploring a music project, he shared the idea with a mutual friend at Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, and that’s where it all began. Chris Waters made the introduction: “You should talk to Josh and Hannah from Fish & Friends.” That initial conversation revealed the real opportunity. Seb and co-founder Ryan Corniel had the creative vision and needed operational partners to build the infrastructure. Fish & Friends were able to step into that role from day one.

We jumped in on critical decisions: business structure, equity frameworks, and helped navigate contract renegotiations to protect existing relationships. Late-night strategy texts became the norm. When Sans Strings joined a16z's speedrun 005, we helped prepare them operationally and creatively for investor conversations. We set up JIRA workflows and operational systems. Through our network and experience, we helped build the foundation for growth.
