When Kids Can't See, Everything Changes
The Impact is Real
  • Reading is the foundation for learning. Through third grade children are learning to read – after third grade they are reading to learn.
  • Vision issues are often misdiagnosed as learning disabilities or behavioral problems.
Why it Matters
Kids who were labeled "problem students" suddenly thrive when they can see clearly.
  • Better grades and reading performance
  • Improved behavior and confidence
  • Access to learning they couldn't reach before

The Impact You'll Make

Vision problems don't just affect what children see—they change who they can become.

What Your $150 Changes

Behavioral issues, falling grades, and lost confidence often stem from a simple problem: they can't see the board, read their homework, or recognize faces across the room.

How it works:
Sight for All United's System

From Screening to Seeing: A Proven 3-Step Process
STEP 1
Find the Kids Who Need Help
In-school vision screenings identify children with vision problems that would otherwise go undetected. By screening students where they already are, we catch issues early—before they impact learning. No child falls through the cracks.
STEP 2
Bring the Eye Clinic to Them
Mobile vision vans bring comprehensive eye care directly to schools. No transportation barriers. No missed appointments. Kids get complete eye exams and glasses on-site—all at zero cost to families.
STEP  3
Set Families Up for Success
Every family receives education about vision health and connections to ongoing care for more serious concerns. We're building long-term vision health—first system in the nation providing this education process.

But some kids need more help!

The Vision Vans solve the "easy problems", but what about the kids who need more?

Beyond Glasses

The vision vans are incredibly effective at providing glasses—solving what Sight for All United calls the "easy problems." But the data reveals a harder truth: 10-24% of children screened have serious medical problems that glasses alone can't fix.

These kids need specialist care. Eye surgeons. Medical treatments. Ongoing monitoring. Without help, they simply won't get it.
That's why Sight for All United developed the first comprehensive in-school referral program—the first in Ohio and the nation—to tackle this important problem.
  • Reach families through calls and text messaging
  • Helped schedule appointments with eye doctors
  • Follow up to ensure appointments are kept
Result: 47% of families obtained medical appointments because this program exists.

We're scaling what works

  • One van can provide 13,00 screenings
    and 2,500 eye exams

Professional equipment, trained staff, proven process
  •  90% of Ohio students qualify for free lunch
    That's 248,896 students in 758 underserved schools
  • 20% will fail vision screenings = 49,779 kids need exams
We need 10 vision vans to reach them all
The Vision Van Expansion Plan
  • 2024-25: Cleveland, Ashtabula, Columbiana
  • 2025-26: 3 more vans
  • 2026-27: 3 more vans
  • By Spring 2027: Serving 248,896 students
The Vision Zone (Nouns-branded vision van) launching in 2026 is a critical part of this expansion, serving communities for 5-10 years.
Your donation doesn't just help one child—it helps build the infrastructure to help thousands.
