Our journey with Sans Strings Studio started with an unexpected spark at Nouns Fest. When Sebastien Deguy began exploring a music project, he shared the idea with a mutual friend at Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, and that’s where it all began. Chris Waters made the introduction: “You should talk to Josh and Hannah from Fish & Friends.” That initial conversation revealed the real opportunity. Seb and co-founder Ryan Corniel had the creative vision and needed operational partners to build the infrastructure. Fish & Friends were able to step into that role from day one.
We jumped in on critical decisions: business structure, equity frameworks, and helped navigate contract renegotiations to protect existing relationships. Late-night strategy texts became the norm. When Sans Strings joined a16z's speedrun 005, we helped prepare them operationally and creatively for investor conversations. We set up JIRA workflows and operational systems. Through our network and experience, we helped build the foundation for growth.
Sans Strings needed more than ideas... they needed studio infrastructure. We handled the essentials—website, brand identity, social channels. When Gleeful Beasts launched, we helped the team take it from zero to 8.8M views. When Felt That: Boxing needed a trailer release, our campaign generated 100K wishlists in week one. Each project required different support, and we adapted to deliver what each venture required, leveraging our network to bring in the right talent at the right time.
Sans Strings is scaling beyond creative production. With investor backing they're building out their team and advancing their real-time animation technology. Fish & Friends continues as operational partners—helping navigate investor relationships, supporting team expansion, and ensuring the infrastructure keeps pace with growth. As Sans Strings' technology opens new possibilities, we're handling the operational realities that come with growth. The foundation we helped build is ready for what's next.
